Crazy After All

Written in September of 1991 in Bonnyville, Alberta

Well she’s going crazy
She says, “Lord won’t you save me tonight,
I’ve been going ‘round in circles and praying it’ll work out alright

I’m stuck in this office building
And this desk it’s just like a prison
I’m caught inside an emotional landslide,
When they find me, I’ll be crazy after all”

Well Charlie’s going crazy
His wife says, “man you’re lazy”, but you know
They’ve got two kids and a car.
The banker knows just who they are because the owe

And Charlie’s stares at the TV
And his wife with her nose in a magazine
They’re two of a kind
A better pair you can’t find
When they find, they’ve gone crazy after all

Well I’m going crazy
I say “Lord won’t you save me tonight.”
I’ve been going ‘round in circles and singing in this circus every night
And this stage, it’s just like a prison
Is anyone out there listening?
I’m caught inside an emotional landslide
When they find me, I’ll be crazy after all
