Everyday Is Another Day

Written in May of 1995 in Nanaimo, British Columbia

Every day has another problem
Coming on the wind
Every day is another day fallen
And we do it all again
Every day there’s more people calling
For their number to come in
Every day is another day, my friend

Every time you turn around
There’s someone behind you
Every time you hear a siren
You think they’re after you
Every time you form an opinion
They pull the rug from you
Every time is another time my friend

You can try to build a mountain
Out of all off the troubles you’ve received
And each day, when the morning breaks
You pray you’ve got what it takes
You find it all so difficult to believe

Every time you’ve got all figured out
Life throws you another curve
Every time you scream and shout
“Hey, is this what I deserve!?!”
Every time someone takes his life for less than it is worth
Everybody is someone, my friend

Every day has another problem
Coming on the wind
Every day is another day fallen
And we do it all again
Every day there’s more people calling
For their number to come in
Every day is another day, my friend
